Junk Junk Junk

Have you ever worked in an office with a fax machine?
My first experience was just after high school when I worked at a packing/shipping outlet. Call it a less fancy UPS store.
We would receive junk faxes over the fax machine. Cleaners, movers, and other service providers would just send us faxes promoting their services. I thought it was incredibly annoying, however I knew that it was happening for a reason. Someone, somewhere had decided to promote their business via fax marketing and it had to be paying off in some form or another.
Although it may help the bottom line. Is this the type of marketing you want associated with your business?
Junk @replies and direct messages on Twitter.
Junk emails from people I’ve never met. Even worse, from people I have met.
Junk mail that goes directly into the garbage.
Junk spammy comments on a blog
Junk and less than honest craigslist ads.
Junk Junk Junk
I plan on marketing myself and my businesses in a variety of different ways and I’m open to new and traditional avenues, however I will never associate my name or business with anything that can be classified as junk. Why should I stoop to that level? It’s only hurts both of us.
